Primary Purpose:
Under close supervision, provide reception and clerical support for the efficient operation of the campus office and maintain accurate student attendance records. Perform data entry related to attendance, PEIMS, grades, and student records in accordance with district procedures.

Education/Certification:
High school diploma or GED
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Proficient keyboarding and 10-key numerical data entry skills Ability to use software to develop spreadsheets, databases, and word processing documents Ability to operate a multi-line phone system Effective organization, communication, and interpersonal skills Ability to understand and follow detailed written and verbal instructions Ability to meet established deadlines and maintain accurate records
Experience:
2 years clerical and/or data entry experience in an office setting
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
Reception and Phones:
Receive and direct incoming calls, take reliable messages, and route to appropriate staff Greet and direct campus visitors; maintain visitor log and issue visitor passes Assist parents in checking students in and out of school Prepare and distribute student identification cards, bus passes, and parking stickers Assist with receipt and distribution of student materials, including homework requests Receive, sort, and distribute mail, messages, documents, and deliveries
Attendance and Records:
Collect and enter attendance and PEIMS data into established databases and verify accuracy according to prescribed procedures Maintain student records and process requests for student information and transcripts Process new student enrollment records, including requesting transcripts and records from other schools Assist parents, students, and faculty with questions regarding student attendance Contact parents/guardians to verify student absences and report attendance concerns to designated administrator Compile, maintain, file, and distribute reports, records, and other required documents following established procedures
Clerical and Other Duties:
Provide general clerical assistance, including scheduling appointments Assist in the campus office as needed Maintain confidentiality Follow district safety protocols and emergency procedures
